April Hall
Making her way from Victoria Texas to Austin, April was inspired by the many different styles from country, blues, jazz, and the singer/songwriters that put their mark on these Americana styles. She soon put these influences to use and began writing and performing in the Austin area. April released her first EP in 2008 of five acoustic songs produced by Tommy Detamore at Cherry Ridge Studio. Now after many years of performing in the central Texas area, she went back to the studio with Tommy to help produce her first full-length album. The album titled “Nothing’s Perfect In Life” released in May of 2015 is a soulful country-inspired collection of 14 songs with 11 written by April. In the studio April was grateful to have fellow bandmates to help bring the energy of her live shows; William “BB” Morse on bass, Joe McCreary on drums, Brad Johnston on organ/piano, Bill Terry on pedal steel guitar, David Waters on guitar, Jason Hall on guitar, and also Tommy Detamore helping out with some pedal and lap steel guitars. Eric Flores
Erik Flores is a singer songwriter whose songs are tied to the dierent places and circumstances that he’s found himself in on the way to where he is now. Currently based in the Texas Hill Country, his path has been steady and winding. Erik started his career in Austin, TX and after a handful of loud and eclectic years he eventually found himself in Los Angeles where he reconnected with his love of Americana/Country music. After starting the band Fairbanks & the Lonesome Light, gaining some traction and releasing two albums, he returned home to Texas and landed in the small Hill Country town of Driftwood where he writes and records the songs that will be the coming chapters of his story. His band Fairbanks & the Lonesome Light is shared with singer/writer Amelia Rose Logan. It revolves around a collection of songs written in two part harmony and built on a solid foundation of Indie Americana music. They draw from the same traditions that Jeff Tweedy, The Band, Neil Young, Gillian Welch and other similar artists seem to veer toward. Erik’s solo performances pull from this catalogue and from the always growing collection of new songs, but lean a little more into his more classic Texas influences.
